Xavier and Football

I bought Xavier a football last night. We played football for an hour when we got home. At bedtime he said he wanted to go out and play more football. He slept with his football. He crawled into my bed with his football lovingly cradled in his arms at 7 AM and woke me up to say he wanted to get up and go play football. So we did. Does this mean that my boy is going to be a football player?

Xavier's B Day and First Day of School

Xavier is in a combined 1st and 2nd grade this year.

So far it is groovy.

Xavier's Birthday was on Thursday. He is seven now! We had a birthday cake and Xavier's friend Alex and his brother Stefan over. We are planning a Star Wars themed party for next weekend. This is all part of the month long celebration of Xavier's birth. :)
Xavier's friend Alex broke his arm last week. The height of the fall from the apple tree has varied with each telling from 10 feet to 15 stories.

Uncle Bri send a cool electricity experiement kit. Xavier had a lot of fun with that.

There is nothing like the crash that happens after a sugar high from Cake!

Opera Goings-On

I am going to the Smithsonian in Washington DC to perform in the opera The Captivation of Eunice Williams. I was in the proffesional premier of the opera in Deerfield, MA in 2004.
I played the role of Eunice Mathers the mother of the central character. It is an opera based on the real story of Eunice's capture in the Deerfield massacure of 1704. http://www.eunicewilliams.com There are more pictures on the website and a really cool interview about the performance that we did in Kanawake in Canada.

Here'a a photos of me from the Five College Opera that I was in at Amherst College last February. I was a Louis the IV chair and a calico cat.
